Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Cheats for Xbox 360

WINK TO PT

PT was a demo / prototype of Silent Hills, which would be the next Hideo Kojima game. The game is canceled, but The Phantom Pain hides some references.

– There is a radio of the enemies in Africa that emits the same recording that could be heard on PT

– Lisa, the ghost of PT that gave more than a heart attack, can be unlocked as a decoy.

SIX BIG DIAMONDS (MISSION 6)

Mission 6 (although you can visit this area whenever you want) hides in its surroundings no less than six large diamonds that will greatly improve the economy of Mother Base. This is its location:

THE LEGENDARY BROWN BEAR

This optional mission is to locate a Himalayan brown bear. Although it is not a very difficult mission, do not trust yourself. The bear can kill you with a claw and the tranquilizers take time to take effect – plus you need to shoot numerous times.

Take a safe place and unload all your non-lethal bullets, then use the Fulton.

QUICK TRIP TO MOTHER BASE

More than a trick, it is a secret that will save you a lot of waiting time at Mother Base.

When you have several installations created, you will see that they are located very far between them. If you want to visit several to explore their secrets (they usually have diamonds) or do the optional training missions, you will find that using the helicopter between them or the jeep takes longer than necessary.

However, there is another, faster way to travel between platforms: use the box in the transport space near the helipad, and they will take you to the place of your choice. You will only see an intermediate load, but it is certainly much faster than driving or calling the helicopter to take you.

GROUND ZEROES EXTRAS

Import a game from the Ground Zeroes prequel to unlock the following extras in The Phantom Pain.

– Metal Gear Solid Skin: play Snake with few polygons from 1999. A nod to nostalgia.

– Infiltration Suit: A special upgrade that takes place in Mother Base.

– Golden Bionic Arm: Only if you have completed mission 5 and rescue the engineer.

– Soldiers: In most Ground Zeroes missions there are hostages and soldiers that can be rescued. You will find them in cells and some are target characters of that mission (like Kojima himself). In The Phantom Pain they will appear as volunteers and usually have a good level.

ELECTROCUTIONS

There is a trick to easily eliminate soldiers in the African part. Wait for it to rain and if there are enemies near the electrical wiring, shoot the cable to electrocute the soldiers nearby.

WATER GUN

The water pistol is not the most powerful weapon in the game, but it has several uses.

– Used to temporarily blind enemies (non-lethal).
– Spoil electronic mechanisms.
– See Quiet’s reaction when you wet it.

EASY FUEL AND METAL

If you want to improve the Mother Base you will need resources, and fuel is a must. You’ll find amounts throughout the game, but there is an easy way to take advantage of a story quest that provides plenty.

The trick is to replay episode 12 (Huey Emmerich’s). At the beginning you will see inside the cave containers of fuel and other metals. The first time you get there you will not be able to extract it because it is inside (the Fulton cannot be used), so you must develop the wormhole. Thanks to this, you start the mission, skip the cinematic sequences, destroy the guards, extract it and wait for it to be processed (it will depend on the speed of your Mother Base). Then you can go out and repeat as many times as you want.

The wormhole is only achieved by progressing through the game. After completing mission 31 and passing optional 50, you will be asked to capture a legendary jackal, so you can install the upgrade.

RAIDEN COSTUME

To develop the Raiden costume in Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance you need to complete all story missions with S rank, excluding duplicate missions. Only the 38 unique missions and the prologue are counted, the 12 duplicates are ignored.

This will give you a key item that allows you to create the Raiden outfit, which is quite expensive. Its advantages are a speed to run equal to that of the horse, shooting the soldiers you collide with, and it’s spectacular! Although in exchange, you will not be able to use the prosthetic arm, nor on FOB missions and limit the score to a maximum of A.

QUIET IN THE SHOWER

There are some secret scenes that you may not see if you don’t know how they are activated.

In general it is recommended to shower Big Boss after a few missions because that improves the reflex time. If you do not do it for a long time, do not get under the rain, in addition to accumulating a lot of blood, flies will begin to surround you. Going to Mother Base you will see a scene where Ocelot throws a bucket of water at you.

If you already have Quiet on your team and the friendship is high enough, instead of receiving the bucket of water you will see an extra shower scene with Quiet.

ADAPTATION OF ENEMIES

The game adapts to your way of playing so that it is always a challenge. On the map of your iDroid you will see various icons ranging from white to red and deep red. That indicates the type of reaction of your opponents. Keep this in mind to know what you will face.

Fulton
Meaning: Displays the enemy’s awareness of Fulton’s frequent for extraction.
Low-level response: Enemies will pop their Fulton extraction balloons after a short pause.
High-level response: Enemies will explode Fulton extraction balloons immediately as they are observed.

Helmet
Meaning: Shows the enemy’s awareness of your frequent ability to shoot at the head.
Low level response: Some soldiers will be equipped with helmets.
High level response: Almost all soldiers will be equipped with helmets.

Camera
Meaning: Shows the enemy’s awareness of you ability to neutralize enemies and / or capture outposts without being detected.
Low level response: They will use mines, traps and cameras in the outposts.
High level response: Soldiers wake up faster from stun or sleep and use mines, traps, cameras more efficiently.

Pistol
Meaning: Displays the enemy’s awareness of your ability to capture or eliminate outposts in Alert or combat states.
Low-level response: Soldiers are equipped with better weapons and armor to counter their attacks.
High-level response: The number of soldiers is greatly increased, and you will be equipped with strong weapons that will be used aggressively. Also, reinforcements are faster and more numerous.

Moon
Meaning: Show the enemy’s awareness of your frequent use of the night for missions.
Low level response: Some soldiers will use flashlights and night vision goggles.
High-level response: Almost all soldiers will wear flashlights and night vision goggles.

Reticle
Meaning: Show the enemy’s awareness of your frequent use of long-range weaponry for neutralization.
Low-level response: Bolt-action snipers are positioned to counter your long-range weaponry.
High-level response: Snipers with semi-automatic rifles are positioned to counter your long-range weaponry.

MISSIONS 45 AND 46

The answers to the story are obtained with mission 46, considered the authentic end of the game. But unlocking 45 and 46 requires some requirements that have not been officially given but are known and should work.

Mission 45 appears if :

– You have Quiet as a partner and friendship to the fullest.
– You have seen the sequence where Huey is exiled from Mother Base.
– Complete optional mission 150: For this you have to have Quiet ready for the fight (not recovering in the infirmary) and not use the butterfly design on your emblem.

For mission 46 you must complete all story missions and all optional ones marked in yellow. You also have to upgrade Mother Base as much as you can. Earn GMP and use it until mission 46 is unlocked. Note: Don’t stop Quiet from leaving after Mission 43.

You will be rewarded with the royal ending, an infinite ammo bandana, code name Big Boss (which gives the leather jacket uniform).

INTERPRETERS

Interrogating enemy soldiers is very helpful. Make it easy to know where your target is in missions, optional hostages, or resources. But to understand what they say you need interpreters

Russian interpreter: in Afghanistan, optional mission 2.
African interpreter: in Africa, optional mission 14.
Kikongo interpreter: in Africa, optional mission 18.
Pashtun interpreter: in Afghanistan, optional mission 27.
